Arthritis and Neck Pain

Arthritis can affect the joints in the neck and lead to chronic pain, especially in the back of the neck. Over time, arthritis can cause the joints to become stiff and inflamed, making it painful to move the neck and causing it to hurt more frequently. While arthritis can’t be cured, certain exercises and physical therapy can help reduce neck pain. Gentle movements and anti-inflammatory treatments may relieve stiffness and help the back of the neck hurt less. Managing arthritis can keep neck pain under control.
