Tech Neck and Device Use
Constant use of phones, tablets, and computers can lead to “tech neck,” a type of neck pain caused by looking down at screens for long periods.
This forward head position strains the back of the neck, making it hurt after a while. Over time, tech neck can lead to chronic neck pain. To prevent tech neck, try keeping devices at eye level and taking regular breaks. Simple adjustments in how you use technology can reduce strain on the back of the neck and keep it from hurting. Avoiding excessive screen time can also help prevent neck pain.
