TMJ and Ear Fullness Sensation
A feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear is a frequent complaint among people with TMJ disorders. This sensation is often mistaken for sinus or ear infections, but it may actually stem from tension in the jaw muscles. When TMJ dysfunction affects the Eustachian tube, it can mimic the sensation of ear congestion. Resolving the TMJ problem through therapy or jaw exercises can alleviate the fullness without the need for antibiotics or other ear-specific treatments.
