TMJ-Related Headaches
Headaches caused by temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders originate from jaw tension or misalignment. These headaches often feel like tension headaches but may also include jaw pain, clicking, or difficulty chewing. Treatment involves addressing the TMJ issue with bite correction, stress management, chiropractic care or physical therapy. Wearing a mouth guard at night can also reduce clenching and prevent these headaches.
